Create an ICAP File Scanning Connector
To use ICAP (Internet Content Adaptation Protocol) for file scanning functionality upon uploading any document throughout the SigningHub application, the Admin needs to create an ICAP connector and configure it as the default file scanning connector.
Create an ICAP Connector
Click the 'Configurations' option from the navigation panel.
Click the 'Connectors' option.
Click the
icon from the grid header.
The 'Add' connector screen will appear to add the connector details. It comprises of two sections, i.e. Basic Information and Details. Specify the basic information and click the
button to provide the respective connector details.
Click the 'Create' button. A new connector will be saved and displayed in the list. See the table below for field descriptions.
ICAP Connector
Fields
Description
Name
Specify unique name for ICAP connector, such as My ICAP.
Provider
Select provider for this connector, i.e. "ICAP".
Logo
Select an appropriate image in the jpeg, jpg, gif or png format for the connector's logo that will be displayed on the login screen.
Service Address
Provide IP address of the service provider.
Port
Provide port number for service provider.
Configure ICAP as Default Scanning Connector
SigningHub Admin needs to configure the ICAP connector if file scanning is required, using the process described below:
Click the 'Configurations' option from the navigation panel.
Click the 'Global Settings' option.
Select the 'Default Connectors' option from the drop-down.
Select the file scanning connector of your choice from the available list.
Click the "Save" button to set the default file scan connector.
In case, user wants to view the information of the connector added, click on the eye icon, and the information will be displayed.
Areas Affected Using File Scanning Connector
The system will scan the mentioned areas for infected files if the file scanning connector is configured.

Uploading an attachment
Uploading a file to the library
Uploading a file while creating a template
Uploading a new license
Uploading a CSV file
Uploading profile picture
Uploading enterprise logo
Uploading security certificates
How to Stop File Scanning if Configured?
To delete a connector or mark the connector as disabled or to stop file scanning, the user needs to remove the ICAP connector from the default file scanning connector, following the steps mentioned below:
Click the 'Configurations' option from the navigation panel.
Click the 'Global Settings' option.
Select the 'Default Connectors' option from the drop-down.
Go to the 'Default File Scan Connector' field and select the connector you don't want to be used for file scanning any more.
Click 'X' to remove or disable the connector from the default connectors.
Click "Save" to save and update the connector list.
